How do I book an online session?
Call first for a phone consultation: 415-601-6575. The phone consultation is free, no obligation. The call gives you an opportunity to describe what you're experiencing and what you want to change, and it gives me the opportunity to share some insights and options with you. If I believe I can help you (which is usually the case) I'll let you know. Then you can decide whether you'd like to book an appointment at that time or call back.
How will I pay for my session?
Using a secure online service with credit card, PayPal or Zelle. I'll provide the details during our phone consultation.
What kind of tech equipment do I need for online sessions?
Almost any fairly recent computer, tablet or smartphone will work as long as it's equipped with a built-in camera or webcam. You'll also need a stable internet connection. We'll go over the details before the session.
What's the process like?
I'll send you an e-mail before the session with a link in it. A few minutes before our start time, click the link and we're connected. Easy.
The session will last for approximately one hour. Make sure you're in a quiet comfortable place where you won't be disturbed or interrupted, with a stable internet connection. Have all potential distractions like cell phone and TV turned off or put away. Sit in a comfortable chair, or on a sofa. Pets, kids and spouses should be in a different room. It's important that you focus completely on the session to get the most benefit.
How does the Change Work compare to an in-person session?
Online sessions are just as effective as in-office sessions. In many ways, the process is very similar. However there are some differences. The convenience factor can be a huge advantage for the client, since you can do the session at a location of your own choosing. However, it does require more self-management on your part to make sure there are no distractions. You must give the session your complete attention. If you do that, you'll get the full benefit of our working together. During the session, the techniques used are slightly different than in-office since we are communicating only through sound and screen. But there are many effective ways to engage all of the senses including the tactile (kinesthetic) even without physical touch. Everything is geared to insure maximum effectiveness, safety and comfort. You can get great results with online sessions.
